Channel surfing the other night, I ran into a great documentary on Palladia, a new high-definition channel showcasing contemporary music.
I was attracted to it because they were featuring Simon & Garfunkel in The Harmony Game: The Making of Bridge Over Troubled Water, written and produced by the dynamic duo in honor of the 40th anniversary of the release of "Bridge Over Troubled Water".
The 70-minute documentary combines archival footage and new interviews with Paul Simon, Art Garfunkel, and several collaborators from the period to tell the story behind the creation of the album, Bridge Over Troubled Water.
It is remarkable to follow the development of each song, its lyrics, rhythm, and orchestration. It left me nostalgic for those guys, their music and the epic era of our youth.
